Oh hey, wow, we actually have music to promote this time! Mercantile Records recently reached out to tell us about two of their latest releases. The first is a song from a band called Gymnastiken from Sweden. The second is a song from a band called d.b.s. from Canada. Icons: Daewon Song (Skateboarding)

We want to take a minute to share this documentary about professional skateboarder Daewon Song. Who became popular through his style of smooth street skating, and some epic "battles" with his friend and colleague Rodney Mullen.

Near the beginning of the video (2:20) he discusses aspects of what shaped him into who he is today. Mentioning a complicated relationship with his father who worked nights and was often not around, and a mother with somewhat overbearing old-school techniques regarding academic discipline.
