WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER CALL YOUR KIDS FAT | AND WHY THIS REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE SAID

I know a guy who witnessed his ex-girlfriend call her own son and daughter "fat" on numerous occasions. This is the same woman who would always complain about how her own mom called her "fat" when she was young, and how it fucked with her head. So why does she turn around and behave as her toxic mother did towards her own son and daughter? It makes no sense. One time, my buddy took a trip to the bay area with his ex-gf and her daughter. They stayed in an AirBnB and the daughter had her own room. At one point, my buddy's ex-gf went tinto the room with her daughter and my buddy could hear her say "...because you're fat!" Then he heard the daughter whine and say "Stop calling me that!" When his ex-gf came out of the room, my buddy scolded her. "NEVER! EVER! Call your daughter FAT again!" His ex looked confused by this. He said "You always tell me about how your own mom called you fat and you didn't like it, so why do you d...

Pop Punk Radio Halloween Movie Fest 2014: #1 - Cube (1997) - 90's Category

October is here and it is one of my favorite months of the year for a few reasons. Football is back, Baseball is in playoffs and the NHL season is just around the corner. Last but not least, October is the season of Halloween, and at our house we take it seriously!

This year we have decided to celebrate Halloween by compiling a list of Halloween movies based on different categories and then taking turns showing them to each other. Our categories include 80's, 90's, Modern, Vintage, Bloody/Gory, Spooky Fun, Slasher, Zombie, Vampire, Monster, Sequel, TV Shows and anything else we think of along the way.

We kicked things off a day early on Sept 30th and since it wasn't quite October yet, I wanted to start with a solid horror/suspense movie that doesn't fit the stereotypical "Halloween" theme of monsters, zombies, vampires etc...

Enter Cube. A film from 1997 that falls into our "90s" category.

Basically, a few people wake up inside one of many MANY rooms in a giant cube. They must find their way out while discovering and avoiding a variety of deadly traps. Meanwhile, each character struggles with the mystery of who put them there and why they were specifically chosen.

If you are unfamiliar with this movie, think of it as part Saw II or the beginning of the first Resident Evil movie. Both of which were partially inspired by this film. If you haven't seen any of those films either, go do it. But watch Cube first.
