HOW SOME PEOPLE GET DOG ALLERGIES WRONG

Some people think dogs have allergies to their food. And those people will insist on buying specific dog food brands. Maybe they rub some kind of lotion on the dogs feet to stop them from licking.

But the dogs may have an environmental allergy, which requires shots. 

Some people really do care about their dogs but are misguided in how to care for them. Possibly because they can't afford to take them to the vet.

I don't say this to beat up on somebody who tried earnestly, and meant well. But as somebody who is left to take care of the dogs after their first owner abandoned them, it should be brought to attention. 

You're not a bad person. You were trying your best. I don't post this to criticize, just to inform.

The important thing is that the dogs are no longer itching or licking their paws too much.
