HOW "DEAD WEIGHT FALLS AND IT SETS YOU FREE"

Q: I had been out of work in my industry since Feb 2020. I spent the entire time sending out resumes to countless job postings. I would often send my resume out to 200+ job listings and not even receive a single interview. During the entire period, I probably had 3-4 real legitimate interviews. In one of them the guy interviewing me was some schmuck who I replaced in a prior job that I was eventually let go from due to internal politics and bullshit outside of my abilities. So this guy basically already had a bad opinion about me, and I knew I wasn't going to get that job.  I've felt essentially blacklisted from my industry despite the fact that I never once got written up or reprimanded in my previous position at Apple. However, when I applied to go back, I was not re-hired. -Reviews: Some might notice that there is no album review in this episode. I'm putting the album reviews on hold for the time being because they take up more time than I am able to give at the moment. Perhaps I will bring them back at a later point if time permits or if I come across an album that really blows me away. But I am not seeking to write reviews just for the sake of posting them and I don't want the reviews to suffer from a lack of sincere effort.

-"The Mad Ones" by Versus You: Listen to the podcast for a story involving the song by Versus You, which is a tribute to a popular sky diving team.

-The Circle of Capitalism: Listen to the podcast as JD tells Joey and the listeners about sweeping peanuts in the "Circle of Capitalism."

-Support the music that you enjoy if you want to hear more of it. You don't always have to spend money to show appreciation either. Share what you enjoy, tell others what you enjoy and why you enjoy it, spread the word and help whatever community you find interest in grow! Even a small gesture can have a large impact.
