HOW "DEAD WEIGHT FALLS AND IT SETS YOU FREE"

Q: I had been out of work in my industry since Feb 2020. I spent the entire time sending out resumes to countless job postings. I would often send my resume out to 200+ job listings and not even receive a single interview. During the entire period, I probably had 3-4 real legitimate interviews. In one of them the guy interviewing me was some schmuck who I replaced in a prior job that I was eventually let go from due to internal politics and bullshit outside of my abilities. So this guy basically already had a bad opinion about me, and I knew I wasn't going to get that job.  I've felt essentially blacklisted from my industry despite the fact that I never once got written up or reprimanded in my previous position at Apple. However, when I applied to go back, I was not re-hired. It pissed me the fuck off because I had recruited a guy from my master's program out of the kindness of my heart to help someone else out, and all he did was bring negative stories about me and gossip ...

POP PUNK RADIO SHOW: EPISODE 12 - "ANIMATION SPECIAL" PLAYLIST

In celebration of today's "holiday" we have a specially curated selection of animated videos in our Episode 12 "Animation Special" of Pop Punk Radio Show. Animation is a lot of work, often requiring teams of multiple people to complete. This episode looks to highlight some amazing teams and individuals who help performing artists portray the stories and messages in their music from a different perspective.

Streaming services are dominated by major content producers and it can seem difficult trying to break in to the market as a small producer. Help us help you by sharing your content with us so we can help share your content with our community. The best way to reach us is to either send us a message through Instagram, YouTube, or email.

Bands and artists featured in this playlist include:

Direct Hit, Too Close To Touch, A Day To Remember, All Time Low, Adult Mom, PUP, Lo(u)ser, Gorillaz, Rovvles, TWRP, Offspring, Architects, Ghostemane, Billy Talent, Vitamin X, Frenzal Rhomb, Teenage Bottlerocket, Get Dead

"Welcome to Heaven" "in this state of dumb contentment" with a Direct Hit video animated by Walker Dubois and Maddie Brewer. Chop Studio will provide us with a "Pick Me Up" in their collaboration with Too Close To Touch. Animation "never comes easy," but thankfully the team at Awesome Inc have "Mindreader" abilities to translate A Day To Remember's music into stunning visual art. "Monsters" might come out at night, but they'll probably just get stuck in front of the screen watching All Time Low's video by Toon53 Productions.

Maddie Brewer returns with Noah Gallagher to help keep Adult Mom "Sober." Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux's initials are not "DVP" but he still created a vintage video game lover's masterpiece for PUP that goes down in my book as a heavy contender for Lyric Video of the Century! I'd sure like to see Angry Video Game Nerds's daughter create a Super Mario Maker 2 level like the one in Lou(s)er's video for "Set It All On Fire." Punch along to some beats with Gorillaz in their video for 'Pac-Man" by the Venla Linna animation department before getting lost in the "Forest of Illusion" with Rovvles Remix VGM.

Die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain in Offspring's double feature "Dividing By Zero / Slim Pickens Does The Right Thing And Rides The Bomb To Hell." Knights of the Light Table provide a music video for TWRP's "Starlight Brigade" that could easily become it's own series. Jeb Hardwick and the Umbrella post production studio help the Architects move mountains in their video for "Meteor." Ghostemane might not give a eff about fame but with visuals from Trash Gang they will definitely grab some attention.

Billy Talent are "Runnin' Across The Tracks" with a sci-fi comic book themed video from Reactiv. Celebrate the collapse of society with Vitamin X in their video for "About To Crack" created by Imov Studios, who also intend to send Frenzal Rhomb to rehab. Watch out Paul Stanley and Scooby Doo, because Ben Levin and Teenage Bottlerocket combine forces to become "Bigger Than Kiss." Sometimes things break down when Get Dead plays with their Lego's but they won't let the hard times stop them from finding a way somehow.

As usual, make sure to support the creators if you enjoy their art. Like, Subscribe, and interact with their content. A lot of great animators to celebrate in this episode.
